We believe that each individual woman has the ability to discover her inner strength and build upon it. OSAAT will support and inspire these women to overcome obstacles, reach their fullest potential, and thus enrich their lives and the world in which they live and work. This organization will assist women by offering financial assistance to help them further their educations and/or vocational skills. OSAAT will be targeting women in the adult entertainment industry. All women who wish to enhance their lives, not just those from the entertainment industry, are eligible for assistance from this organization. OSAAT promotes a positive environment with women in transition from challenging life and financial situations to economic self-reliance. This charitable organization of women will be committed to improving the community through effective action, education and leadership.

Initially our time will be devoted to talking to women about other career options and putting them in touch with community colleges and vocational schools which can start them on the road to leaving their current occupation. Women interested in qualifying for financial assistance, must formally enroll in G.E.D., college or vocational classes. This financial assistance may include paying for their courses or assisting them with day-to-day expenses such as daycare, rent, insurance, transportation, etc. The amount and type of financial assistance OSAAT can provide will be dependant upon the success of our fund-raising efforts.

This organization will also make an effort to educate these women about issues important to their future well-being. This will include providing interested women with information on careers, family planning and birth control, budgeting and running a household. These women will also be educated in drug and alcohol use and abuse, domestic violence and where to obtain help.

The activities of OSAAT will clearly benefit the public interest. Providing access to financial resources, and helping women find an alternative to working in jobs which have no financial security, is clearly beneficial to the public interest. By improving their educations or vocational skills, we want to allow women the option to transition out of a career that does not necessarily have a long term future. This benefits not only the women who receive this support, but the community at large. Instead of having women who may be draining the local government’s resources and in professions which requires no formal training or skills, OSAAT will help create productive members of the community with skills employers can use.

The activities of OSAAT also serve educational purposes. The information provided to the women who utilize the organization’s services will help to educate them and allow them to make better decisions as they transition into a new life.
